Host Location: St. Paul Baptist Church

Ezekiel Church & Ministries is honored to host Community Baptism 2026, a special celebration for individuals who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and desire to publicly profess their faith through baptism.

As a church committed to being “a family, breathing life into dry places,” we believe baptism is a powerful milestone in the life of every believer. It is an opportunity to publicly declare your commitment to Jesus Christ and celebrate the new life that God has given you.

Whether you are a new believer, returning to your faith, or have never had the opportunity to be baptized, we invite you to join us for this life-changing experience.

What is Baptism?
Baptism is a sacred act of obedience and a public witness of an inward transformation. It symbolizes the believer’s identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Apostle Paul writes:
“Therefore, we were buried with him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” – Romans 6:4

When a believer is immersed in water, it represents the old life being buried with Christ. Rising from the water symbolizes being raised to a new life empowered by God’s grace and the Holy Spirit. Baptism does not save us; salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Baptism is the outward expression of the inward work God has already begun in the believer’s heart.

Why Should I Be Baptized? Baptism is important because:

  • Jesus commanded it (Matthew 28:19-20)

  • Jesus himself was baptized (Matthew 3:13-17)

  • It is a public declaration of faith

  • It symbolizes spiritual transformation

  • It connects believers to the body of Christ

  • It marks a new chapter of discipleship and spiritual growth

Baptism is an act of obedience, worship, and testimony.

Who Can Participate?

Community Baptism is open to individuals eleven (11) years of age and older who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and desire to publicly profess their faith.

A Personal Invitation from Pastor Smith

If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and have not yet been baptized, I encourage you to take this important step of faith.  Baptism is more than a ceremony – it is a testimony of God’s grace, a declaration of your commitment to Christ, and a celebration of new life.

We look forward to celebrating with you as you move forward in faith and purpose.

Grace and Peace,

The Very Reverend Domanic A Smith, M.Div., CHM

Senior Pastor, Ezekiel Church & Ministries
