Overseer Domanic A. Smith, M.Div., CHM is a preacher, teacher, faith + health leader, and ministry strategist committed to whole-person formation and sustainable leadership. His ministry integrates sound theology, pastoral sensitivity, and community-centered engagement to meet the spiritual, emotional, and practical needs of people and institutions.

 

With formal theological training from Duke University Divinity School with a Master of Divinity in Durham, North Carolina, studied at Lancaster Theological Seminary in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and certification in health ministry through the Heal the Sick Program at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC, Overseer Smith serves at the intersection of church, community, and care—equipping believers and leaders to live faithfully, lead effectively, and serve compassionately.  He also earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD in Communications Studies with a concentration in Public Relations and Promotions.

 

As an executive within his career and field, he has a sterling track record for being a faith and health subject matter expert and transformational change agent who connects missions to results.  Currently, he is the Community Pastoral Outreach Coordinator for a major acute care hospital system with five campuses.  His roles include ecumenical collaboration, faith and health support, coordination, leading, and administering pastoral care to a diverse population.  He coordinated and facilitated a week-long conference on health issues: diabetes, CPR, stroke awareness, and food nutrition, with invited subject matter experts; attended by 950 people.  In fiscal year 2024, Overseer Smith’s outreach efforts resulted in well over 5, 500 community members being served.

 

Throughout his tenure in empowering communities through ministry, Overseer Smith has served in numerous capacities such as being the organizing and lead pastor of the Ezekiel Church & Ministries of Baltimore, MD, First Vice President & Executive Secretary for the  United Baptist Missionary Convention & Auxiliaries of the State of Maryland, Inc., Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Maryland Baptist Aged Home, Founding Board Member and Corporate Secretary of the Development Corporation for Maryland Baptist Aged Home, First Chairman, Board of Trustees for Kings Landing Women’s Service Club, and Chair of Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners Ethics Panel, to name a few.

 

Introduced to the religious life at a young age, the Very Reverend Domanic A Smith received and accepted the Lord’s calling to pursue greater works and to lead a Christ-like life, which has cultivated a heart of service to others.  He has devoted many hours to leading groups and ministries, developing numerous programs to empower humanity, researching and preparing sermons that move and inspire congregations to achieve the highest quality of life, faith, and a commitment to services.  As an accomplished organizer and servant leader, his constituents find him to be an exceptional 21st century model in leadership.  On April 7, 2024, through the Ecumenical Association of Leaders and Pastors, Pastor Smith was consecrated as an Overseer in the Lord’s Church.  He serves as the General Secretary.

 

The Very Reverend Domanic A Smith is honored to be the loving father to Dillon-Seth A. Smith, a scholar matriculating at Archbishop Curley High School, the sitting President of the Student Government Association, and Captain of Cross Country and Track and Field Teams.
